Our Story
We began as a small accounting firm focused on helping small businesses navigate their financial challenges. Over the years, we’ve assisted many clients with resolving years of overdue tax filings, responding to CRA requests, and launching new businesses. As our clients’ businesses have grown, we’ve supported them with more advanced needs, such as transferring assets into a corporation on a tax-deferred basis and successfully applying for waivers of penalties and interest resulting from unforeseen circumstances.
For businesses in later stages of growth, we’ve provided guidance on succession planning, creating holding companies, setting up trusts, and other strategies to diversify wealth and defer taxes, all while helping them make informed financial decisions and stay compliant. We also recognize that many entrepreneurs are experts in their own fields but may not be familiar with the financial or regulatory aspects of running a business. That’s where we come in, offering back-office support and financial management services so they can stay focused on growing their business.

Glen Gadowsky
FCPA, FCGA - Partner
Glen began his accounting career later in life, following a successful period selling cameras and working in the photo finishing industry. He earned his Certified General Accountant (CGA) designation in 2000 and launched his own practice under Glen Gadowsky Professional Corporation. Over time, this evolved into GPA LLP, his current partnership with Usha Pawluski, which now includes 13 staff members and the two partners.
An active member of the accounting community, Glen was awarded the prestigious Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants (FCPA) designation in 2019…
This honor recognized his dedication to fostering professional growth through networking events, knowledge sharing, seminars, and sponsorship of an annual accounting conference.
He currently serves as a Director with the Edmonton CPA Club, Chair of the Edmonton Public Practitioners Group, and Host of the Red Deer Public Practitioners Conference.
Additionally, Glen contributes to several boards in roles such as Director, President, and CFO.
Outside of work, Glen enjoys reading, traveling with his wife Darlene, and hosting gatherings at their home.

Usha Pawluski
BSc, BCom CPA, CA, TEP - Partner
Usha Pawluski has been a CPA for the past 15 years as a practicing accountant. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a major in accounting and then articled at a local firm in Edmonton.
Usha has volunteered for various charitable organizations including the Edmonton United Way Chapter. She was recently involved with Early Onset Dementia Alberta foundation to provide financial literacy for families dealing with the disease of dementia.

Sukhi Grewal
BSc, CPA, CGA - Tax Incentives Lead
Sukhi is an experienced accounting professional with a diverse background in public practice, industry, government, and the not-for-profit sector. She spent six years as an Income Tax Auditor with the Canada Revenue Agency, building deep expertise in compliance, audit, and tax strategy.
She specializes in SR&ED and innovation funding, helping research-driven companies access tax incentives and scale strategically.…

Edward Juszkiewicz
CPA, CGA - Associate LLP
Edward Juszkiewicz received his Certified General Accountant (CGA) designation in 1981. He has applied his varied knowledge and experiences in accounting and taxation to provide comprehensive services to small business, estates, and individuals. Edward joined the GPA LLP team in 2015.

Dianne Curley
PCP - General Manager
Dianne Curley joined the GPA LLP team in February of 2008 as a payroll clerk. She received her Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) Certification from the National Payroll Institute (NPI) in 2010. Dianne has continued to grow with the firm and became General Manager in 2016.
Dianne works directly with clients completing monthly, semi-monthly, and bi-weekly payroll, ensuring payroll compliance, Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) audits/reviews for payroll as well as performing full service corporate bookkeeping and managing Human Resources (HR)…
In her off time, Dianne enjoys spending her free time with her family, is a dedicated soccer mom and massive Oilers fan. Go Oilers Go!!

Andrew Chang
CPA, CGA - Senior Accountant
Andrew Chang graduated from University of Alberta majoring in accounting. He has been in public practice since 2007 and received his Certified General Accountant (CGA) designation in 2010. He joined the GPA LLP team in April 2013. Andrew is currently working as a senior accountant, preparing corporate compilation, review and audit engagements. He also works on corporate client bookkeeping and assists with bookkeeping clean up.

Natalya Volyanyuk
BBA - Senior Accountant
Natalya Volyanyuk completed cooperative work placements with GPA LLP in 2007 and 2008 before joining the firm full-time in September 2009 while pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Business Administration (BBA) with a major in Accounting, which she completed in 2011.
Natalya is currently employed as a Senior Accountant, preparing compilation and review engagements. She also provides bookkeeping services and trains team members and clients in accounting practices.…
In addition, she assists clients in correcting accounting records and supports them during Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) audits and reviews. When required, she also provides onsite bookkeeping services at client offices.
Fluent in Ukrainian, Natalya sparks creativity through painting and curiosity through reading.

Andy Lu
BCom - Junior Accountant
Andy Lu graduated from Grant MacEwan University in 2023 with a major in Accounting and a minor in Finance. He joined the GPA LLP team shortly after and is currently pursuing his CPA designation. Andy supports the team with compilation, review, and audit engagements, as well as bookkeeping, GST filings, and Personal income tax returns.

Erin Pierce
BBA - Junior Accountant
Erin Pierce (nee Sims) earned her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with an emphasis in Accounting from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) in 2015. She joined GPA LLP in January 2017, bringing strong organizational and client service skills to her initial role in office administration.
In June 2023, Erin transitioned into the role of Junior Accountant. She now supports the GPA LLP team in a variety of key areas, including the preparation of corporate and personal income tax returns, compilation engagements, bookkeeping, GST filings, and payroll processing.…
Outside of work, Erin enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling with her husband and family, always seeking out new adventures together.

Donna Zacharuk
BEd - Accounting Technician
Donna began working for the firm in October 2005, assisting clients with personal tax audits. She began her bookkeeping training at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) in the same year and is currently working toward her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
With nearly two decades of experience, Donna now works primarily from home, focusing on cloud-based bookkeeping and the preparation of personal tax returns. While her current availability is part-time, her depth of knowledge and consistent quality of work remain a strong support to the firm’s operations.

Meet Patel
BCom - Accounting Technician
Meet Patel joined the GPA LLP team in May 2023. He completed his Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) from Gujarat University (India), majoring in Advanced Accounting and Auditing. Additionally, he obtained certification in Advanced Accounting & Finance from Seneca College (Toronto). Meet currently works as an Accounting Technician/Junior Accountant, assisting the team in preparing compilation, audit, and review engagements. He is also responsible for bookkeeping, GST filing, and tax returns for both corporate and personal clients.
In his leisure time, Meet enjoys watching cricket and tennis, as well as traveling with his wife and family.

Elsie Pinto
MCom - Accounting Technician
Elsie brings more than 15 years of accounting expertise to GPA, helping clients navigate bookkeeping, payroll, GST, and personal tax with confidence. With a Master of Commerce (M.Com) degree and a strong technical background, Elsie is known for her attention to detail and approachable style. She builds strong relationships by delivering timely, accurate solutions tailored to each client’s needs.
When she’s not crunching numbers, Elsie loves spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors, and watching crime dramas.

Shirley Holland
Personal Tax Consultant
Shirley Holland joined the GPA LLP team in February 2015, after moving to Edmonton from Medicine Hat. She brings over 30 years of personal tax and bookkeeping experience with her. Shirley has instructed several levels of tax courses and handled all levels of personal tax preparation, including sole proprietors, farming and rentals.
She works on personal bookkeeping, GST preparation and filings, CRA reviews as well as in-house reviews. Shirley is also the firm specialist for preparing T1 Final returns, T3 Estate tax returns and obtaining Clearance certificates for executors of deceased client estates.…
She splits her time between both our Edmonton and Sherwood Park locations.
In her spare time, she loves spending time with family and the grandkids and cruising around with her spouse in their ’33 Vicky, attending car shows.

Sylvia Maennchen
Personal Tax Consultant
Sylvia Maennchen joined the GPA LLP team in September 2015. She brings with her 15 years of experience with personal taxes including sole proprietorships, rental properties and Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) audits/reviews. She specialized in investments after completing her Canadian Securities course in 2005. She has been a course instructor for Introduction to Taxes, has done Tax Tips on CHAT T.V. on the nightly news in 2010, 2011 and 2013.
With GPA LLP Sylvia also prepares and processes corporate PHSP claims, works on client bookkeeping, GST preparation and filing, non-residence, newcomers and Estates.…
She is continuously furthering her education, enabling her to be on top of all the tax changes and updates. She splits her time between both our Edmonton and Sherwood Park locations.

Darlene Gadowsky
C.E.T. - Office Manager
Darlene Gadowsky graduated from NAIT’s Engineering Design and Drafting program and is a certified CET (Certified Engineering Technologist) with ASET, the Association of Science & Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta. She joined GPA LLP in February 2019 as an accounting assistant after a company downsizing led her to explore new opportunities. Her early work involved preparing client documents, testing out new software, and organizing digital records. In 2023, she shifted into office administration and became office manager in 2024.…
Today, Darlene oversees client relations, billing, annual return preparation, event planning, scheduling meetings and appointments, and keeping the client database organized and up to date.
Outside the office, she enjoys reading, spending time with her extended family, traveling with her husband Glen, and looks forward to eventually getting lost in her fabric stash and letting her creativity take over.
Josiane Bella Ingabire
MBA - Office Administrator
Josiane Bella Ingabire joined the GPA LLP Team in 2024 as an Office Administrator through the merger of Gadowsky & Associates LLP and Usha Pawluski Professional Corporation. She brings 15 years of entrepreneurship and business management experience from her home country.
Currently Bella manages client final packages, records and filing systems, performs basic bookkeeping and assists with operations to ensure a smooth functioning office.
Bella is fluent in Kinyarwanda, Swahili and French. In her free time, you’ll find her spending time with her family, listening to music or enjoying a bit of shopping.

Madison Ledgerwood
BSc - Administrative Assistant
Madison joined GPA LLP in 2025 after working part-time with the firm during a previous tax season. She holds two degrees from the University of Alberta: a BSc in Human Ecology and a BSc in Fashion Business Management. Before joining the firm, she held several roles at a local fashion company and continues to work there part-time as a fun after-hours activity.
Madison supports the team as an Administrative Assistant helping with client communications, scheduling, and the client database. She is also responsible for firm marketing through social media, newsletters, and other brand-building initiatives.…
In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the local food scene, shopping, and relaxing with her cats while watching true crime shows.

My brother was facing a health crisis that caused a VERY extreme financial circumstance to unfold with the CRA, which led to him being COMPLETELY locked out of his own income for 9 months, because of a hold/freeze that the CRA had placed on his bank account.
Usha worked like a DREAM to help unlock that for my brother, begin filing years worth of late paperwork, and is also helping work to challenge other areas for him, to help stabilize things, and have it all make sense! On the same token, she has also helped me work on fixing areas I have been struggling in, or with things that are challenging. She is WONDERFUL to work with, and has been a HUGE help in all things tax and government related for me, and now my family as well. Although I can imagine cases like these are certainly challenging for ANY accountant, Usha is very patient, thorough, and is a wonderful advocate for anyone looking to organize their tax situations, and even for anyone looking to FIX past mistakes, or work on creating better future tax years!
